Facebook Marketing For Your Work From Home Business

For many years Facebook was seen as a place where people seemed to waste a lot of time. Well, that is at least what I thought! I was one of the last of my friends and family to even set up an account and only did so because I was moving towns.

How ironic is it that now I use Facebook everyday as a key tool in my marketing strategy for my home business. If you work from home or want to work from home, Facebook can can offer so many opportunities, if you do it correctly.

Everyone and their dog (yes, I have even seen profiles for dog’s) seem to be using Facebook to connect with friends, make new friends and socialise. Facebook is the most popular social networking hangout at the moment and is growing at a rate of thousands, if not more, per day.

Businesses of all sizes are starting to jump on board and take advantage of the fact that there are so many users, across a wide range of demographics and the potential for business growth is huge. This free platform to build your business is very attractive to home business owners. It enables us to hone in on potential customers through highly targeted, paid advertisements and it allows us to grow our business in a way that is familiar to many of us – through word-of-mouth marketing. Lets face it that is always going to be the most powerful way to market your products or services.

The best thing is we can do all of this from the comfort of our own home or wherever we choose and this is especially appealing to mums who work from home.

It is no secret that Facebook can help you with your online marketing. Unfortunately, there are so many people that set up a page and think that is all they need to do. Your Facebook success story ends before it even begins! Marketing your business on Facebook takes time, persistence and commitment. Facebook success does not happen overnight!

What is the Key to using Facebook to Market your Business?

There is so much more to marketing on Facebook than just creating a profile, a page or a group. Keeping your fans engaged is the key!  So take this little piece of advice…don’t just advertise on Facebook…BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. This is the key to anything you do on Facebook. Facebook is a social network so be social. No one wants their newsfeed bombarded by endless advertisements and they will unlike your page faster than you can post them! Develop the relationship and the trust with your fans and they will be more responsive to you.

Over the next few weeks, I am going to take you through the strategies myself and our Yummy Mummy team use for marketing on Facebook. I have built a hugely successful International business and Facebook has been one of my major marketing tools. Make sure you subscribe to my emails.
